Branch advisory body recertification programmes
Reporting and Audit
|
Doctors registered within a vocational scope of practice must participate in an approved recertification programme through their appropriate specialist college or vocational branch. The Medical Council approves BAB recertification programmes against set criteria for up to five years.
Doctors report their CPD activities to the Medical Council every year as part of their APC application. Each year some doctors will be audited to ensure they are meeting these requirements.
Relevant policies are listed below:
Please email profstds@mcnz.org.nz for further information about CPD.
|
Alternative arrangements and exemptions
|
The requirements listed above may not be appropriate for some doctors, and it is possible for some exceptions to be authorised by the Medical Council. Full details are provided in the Continuing professional development and recertification book.
