· Full-time, fixed term for 15–18 months
· Based in central Wellington
The Council is the regulatory body set up to protect the health and safety of the public by ensuring that doctors are competent to practise medicine. This is achieved by registering doctors to practise in New Zealand and by regulating doctors’ education, performance standards, conduct, and health. Our organisation places a high value on team work and professionalism.
We need a skilled IT professional who enjoys variety, challenge and the chance to work in a supportive environment. The project involves the development and implementation of a new database (replacing our existing database of doctors’ information) and the implementation of an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS). The responsibilities of the role will include project development, testing, comprehensive reporting and implementation. These projects have been underway for the last two years, and we anticipate that another 15-18 months project management is required to complete it.
Ideally you will have:
· Experience as a project manager, especially large package implementation, preferably electronic document management
· Agile development management experience, although this is not essential
· Knowledge of IT contract development and experience in the delivery of IT projects by external parties
· Previous experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders
· Experience in servicing boards / committees
· Superior communication skills and the ability to lead, motivate and support others
In return we offer a varied and challenging role with opportunities for professional and personal development and a friendly professional team to work with.
