Who is this for? |
- Doctors who have worked within a provisional general scope for 12-24 months, and during that time have completed the Council’s requirements for general scope; OR
- New Zealand and Australian graduates who are not yet registered in New Zealand but who have completed their internship in Australia.

What are the requirements? |
Doctors must work within a provisional general scope before they can be considered for registration within a general scope.
If you are unsure, refer to the self assessment tool to see if you are eligible for registration.

How do I apply? |
To apply:
- Use the self assessment tool to help you find the relevant form and checklist.
- Complete the application form and checklist and attach the correct documentation.
- Pay the appropriate fee.
- Send all of the above to your employer.

What happens next? |
Your application will be processed, using the Registration process(diagram).

Note: Council will contact you to inform you of your application process. Please allow twenty (20) working days for your application to be processed from when your application is received in the Council office. | |
