Consultation on our statement - What to do when you have concerns about another doctor

We are reviewing our statement, What to do when you have concerns about another doctor, and would value your feedback.

This statement discusses different concerns that could arise about another doctor for example, health, conduct and competence. It also discusses appropriate options for raising these concerns including when we as a regulator should be notified.

Our draft statement has more emphasis on patient safety and maintaining the public’s trust and confidence in the medical profession as grounds to act on concerns about another doctor.
