You can search the Medical Council's register to find out whether a doctor is currently registered and is able to practise in New Zealand, as well as other public information.  

Approved organisations can also download the full register.
   

Search tips:

• Try searching without a location if you're having issues finding your doctor. Not all doctors have their location within New Zealand published.
• Similarly, try searching without an area of medicine if your doctor does not appear in the results as not all doctors will have a registered specialty.
• You don't need to include the title "Dr" in your search.
