Council's decision
Council considered feedback carefully at its meeting on 4 June 2026. The feedback received will be used to inform the development of future standards and guidance under the secondary legislation requirements of the Legislation Amendment Act (2026), which has an implementation date of November 2027.
Council noted that its 2019 Statement on Cultural Safety remains in effect until replaced by the new
secondary legislation.
