Dr Awasthi is permitted to practise medicine in General Surgery at Rotorua Hospital and Taupo Hospital under the supervision of Dr Chun-yen Wu between 01 June 2026 and 31 May 2027.
The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Awasthi to complete Council's assessment requirements for registration within the vocational scope of General Surgery. -
Conditions
Under section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003: Effective 10 September 2025: Dr Awasthi's scope of practice excludes parathyroid surgery.
