Dr Ballard is permitted to practise medicine in the position of Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Christchurch Womens Hospital under the supervision of Dr Gene Lee between 01 June 2026 and 27 April 2027.
The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Ballard to confirm competence for registration within the vocational scope of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Under section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003: Effective 28 April 2026:
Dr Ballard's scope of practice is limited to Maternal-Fetal Medicine, excluding gynaecology and obstetric surgery.
