Notes
Dr Briggs is permitted to practise medicine in the position of Registrar in Emergency Medicine at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki under the supervision of Dr Henry Smart between 01 September 2026 and 31 August 2027.
The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Briggs to complete Council's requirements for registration within the general scope. -
Conditions
Conditions on scope of practice under Section 29(2) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 effective from 14 July 2025:
1. Dr Briggs must work under supervision for a period of 12 months; and provide the Council with satisfactory supervision reports after 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months; and
2. Dr Briggs must complete advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) at the standard of New Zealand Resuscitation Council CORE Advanced within the first 3 months of commencing practice. -
