Dr Court is required to participate in an approved recertification programme relevant to the vocational scope of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Dr Court may work outside the stated vocational scope but must do so within a collegial relationship.

Under section 29(2) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 effective: 01 September 2005:
If Dr Court remains in or decides to return to colposcopic practice, he is required forthwith to present himself to the New Zealand Committee of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for the purpose of completing the module in Colposcopy and the treatment of pre-invasive cervical disease.
