Dr Govindasamy is permitted to practise medicine in General Surgery at Wairarapa Hospital under the supervision of Dr Clare French between 01 June 2026 and 31 May 2027.
The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Govindasamy to complete Council's assessment requirements for registration within the vocational scope of General Surgery.

Under section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003: Effective 05 February 2025:
Dr Govindasamy's provisional vocational scope (and vocational scope, once granted) of general surgery excludes oncological breast surgery and oncological upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery.
