Dr Kuffel is required to participate in an approved recertification programme relevant to the vocational scope of Psychiatry. Dr Kuffel may work outside the stated vocational scope in hospital based practice but must do so within a collegial relationship.

Conditions on scope of practice under Section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 effective from 18 November 2015:
That Dr Anja Kuffel's general scope of practice is limited to working in psychiatry in any medical setting (private or public, community or hospital-based). In addition Dr Anja Kuffel may also work in any other area of medicine in hospital-based practice only.
