Notes
Dr Mekonnen is permitted to practise medicine in Internal Medicine at Christchurch Hospital under the supervision of Dr Susan O'Malley between 04 May 2026 and 03 June 2026; at Dunedin Hospital under the supervision of Dr Susan O'Malley and Dr Cameron Simmers between 04 June 2026 and 30 November 2026.
The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Mekonnen to complete Council's assessment requirements for registration within the vocational scope of Internal Medicine. -
Conditions
Under section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003: Effective 04 May 2026:
Dr Mekonnen's scope of practice is limited to nuclear medicine including diagnostics and therapy. -
