Conditions
Conditions on Dr Mesgena's scope of practice under section 101(1)(c) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, effective for a period of 3 years, from when Dr Mesgena recommences practising medicine in New Zealand:
1. Dr Mesgena is required to undertake, at his own cost, an educational programme designed by the Medical Council of New Zealand's Medical Adviser focusing on record keeping obligations and the management of sexual health presentations. Dr Mesgena will be required to meet monthly with a supervisor, and comply with any monitoring of note-taking practices directed by the supervisor. The educational programme will be completed within a period of 12 months.
2. Council's Registrar must approve Dr Mesgena's place of work.
3. Dr Mesgena must advise any future employers of the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal's decision and its orders. -
