Dr Middleton is permitted to practise medicine in the position of Specialist in Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology at Nelson Hospital under the primary supervision of Dr Rebecca Harris and the additional supervision of Dr Christopher Davison between 26 January 2026 and 30 November 2026. The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Middleton to confirm competence for registration within the vocational scope of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology. Dr Middleton may work outside their provisional scope but must do so within a collegial relationship.

Under section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003: Effective 26 January 2026: Dr Middleton's scope of practice excludes obstetric imaging and first trimester ultrasound.
