Dr Taha is required to participate in an approved recertification programme relevant to the vocational scope of Neurosurgery. Dr Taha may work outside the stated vocational scope in hospital based practice but must do so within a collegial relationship.

Under section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003: Effective 01 March 2012:
Dr Taha's general scope of practice is limited to neurosurgery in any medical setting or to other areas of medicine in hospital-based practice only.
