Under section 43(1)(a)(ii) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 effective from 19 April 2023:
1. Dr van der Walt must achieve and maintain active participation in the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) recertification programme, no later than 15 May 2023, to the satisfaction of the Medical Council of New Zealand (Council), on the advice of the RANZCP.
2. Dr van der Walt must provide satisfactory evidence of on-going participation in the RANZCP recertification programme as and when requested to do so by Council.
