Dr Yakobi is permitted to practise medicine in Anaesthesia at Dunedin Hospital under the supervision of Dr Estibaliz Blazquez Basarrate between 04 February 2026 and 30 November 2026. The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Yakobi to complete Council's assessment requirements for registration within the vocational scope of Anaesthesia. Dr Yakobi is required to participate in the Inpractice recertification programme for doctors registered in the general scope of practice administered by bpacNZ.

Effective 03 April 2025: Dr Yakobi's general scope of practice is limited to intensive care medicine in any medical setting or to other areas of medicine in hospital-based practice only. -
