Dr Pugh is permitted to practise medicine in the position of Specialist in Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology at Tauranga Hospital and Whakatane Hospital under the supervision of Dr Simon Ussher between 05 October 2026 and 31 August 2027.
The purpose of this registration is to enable Dr Pugh to confirm competence for registration within the vocational scope of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology.

Under section 21 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003: Effective 5 October 2026: Dr Pugh's scope of practice excludes obstetric imaging and first trimester ultrasound.
