Results of our Regulatory Authority (RA) Review
In August 2021, Te Kaunihera Rata o Aotearoa | Medical Council of New Zealand, underwent a full performance review that showed compliance to our obligations under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (HPCAA).
An independent reviewer (BSI New Zealand) assessed Council’s performance against the full set of Core Performance Standards.
These standards have been set by the Ministry of Health for all heath practitioner regulatory authorities under the HPCAA and reflect the functions for these regulatory authorities set out in section 118 the HPCAA.
