New pathway for Australian General Registrants
29 June 2018
Council has introduced a new pathway for doctors who have passed the Australian Medical Council’s (AMC) MCQ exam and either the AMC Clinical exam, or the approved AMC Work Based Assessed.
To be eligible for this new Australian General Registrant pathway, applicant doctors must have also completed their provisional year in Australia and have been granted full registration with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Successful applicants will be granted provisional general registration, and will be required to work under supervision for 12 months before becoming eligible to apply for the general scope.
This new pathway becomes Council’s fifth pathway to general registration. For more information about the eligibility criteria please see the following page on our website.
